At last count QuadTech had 120 application notes in its library. Ensuring RH Sensor Repeatability with Capacitance Testing

RH sensors provide yet another interesting application for the 7000 Series Precision LCR Meter, thermodynamics. A change in capacitance of an electronic hygrometer indicates a change in relative (or absolute) humidity. A G-Cap sensor (a capacitor consisting of a film with a metalized layer deposited on both sides) is installed directly into a transmitter circuit to eliminate the need for post calibration of the RH sensor.

Guardian 1030 used in IR Test on Adhesive Heat Shrink

Wire & cable manufacturers need to verify the strength and integrity of the insulation of their product especially when it is spliced to fit a specific application. Coaxial cable is discussed and an example illustrated.

Guardian 1030S and Cable Reel Immersion Test

It's difficult to measure the insulation of several feet of cable spooled onto one reel so wire & cable manufacturers perform insulation tests on the entire reel of cable itself. Immersion in water is used to check for presence of leakage current indicating defective cable insulation.
