LATEST NEWS:
QuadTech, Inc. Partners with ECI to provide Integrated Test Solutions
QuadTech, Inc. and Electrical Controls, Inc. (ECI) have announced a business partnership to provide integrated test solutions to the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) manufacturing industry. Under the Integrator Partnership Program (IPP), the two companies will combine their technologies, expertise and service to provide customers with the best possible testing solutions. NEW PRODUCT FEATURE:
Due to customer demand, Sentry Series Hipot Testers now have more memory locations.
QuadTech listened to our customers and increased memory for storage of test setups from 10 to 40,
with 2 steps per location (or 80 test setups, with 1 step per location). Gone are the days of insufficient memory for today or tomorrow's test requirements.

MEDICAL NEWS:
Overview of IEC60601-1 Medical Electrical Equipment
QuadTech, Inc. is working in conjunction with Leo Eisner, of Eisner Safety Consultants (http://www.eisnersafety.com) to bring you a series of articles on IEC60601-1 the international standard on Medical Electrical Equipment. The first part in this series will define the individual standards that comprise the IEC60601-1 set. For the complete article visit: http://www.quadtech.com/newsletter/035099.pdf
APPLICATION NOTES:
Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) of Capacitors
What is ESR? Exactly what is the difference between ESR and the actual physical series resistance of a
capacitor? Discover how frequency and capacitance value determine loss factors for an actual capacitor. Identifying
and eliminating the sources of error in measuring capacitors can improve the accuracy of those measurements.

The Application of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Techniques to Precision LCR Measurements
How does your LCR instrumentation detect the unknown's impedance components: analog or digital techniques? Digital techniques can provide a wider frequency bandwidth for high precision measurement capability. Find out how Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) and digital sampling can be applied to achieve greater frequency resolution, speed and accuracy in LCR measurements.

Benefits and Advantages of Digital Electrical Safety Testers
Are you in the market to replace some old analog hipot testers? Or do you just want to know what all the bells and whistles do on today's digital testers? Advances in digital technology have produced electrical safety test (EST) instrumentation capable of increasing test speed and device throughput. Data can be collected and testers operated remotely thereby increasing both test efficiency and operator safety.

Errors in Low Resistance Measurements Determining the factors that affect repeatability and accuracy in low resistance measurements can be aggravating but not impossible. EMF errors may be attributable to the type of material you are measuring as well as to device self-heating. 4-wire connection to the device under test is paramount in eliminating any lead resistance from the actual DUT resistance measurement.
