Building the Perfect Component Test
Fixture
Ever perplexed by the source of error in your
measurements? You've got a highly accurate instrument yet you're still not
attaining precise data. Take a look at your test cables and fixtures. You may
be surprised at the potential sources of error that lurk there. [Full Text:

What is the Accuracy
Anyway?
A very common question in deciphering the
performance of an instrument. Your test results are only as precise as the test
instrument, setup and program. Review the definitions of accuracy terms,
explore factors that affect measurement accuracy and calculate three specific
examples. [Full Text:

Resistive Load Boxes for Hipot
Testers and Megohmmeters
Used daily in labs as a test load or annually in
calibration, resistive load boxes are a great verification tool for a hipot
tester. Learn which resistors are used in the manufacture of a load box and how
that load box is applied to a test. [Full Text:

Guardian 6000 Series Scanner
Connections
Scanners are a fantastic advantage to your test
setup if you're in need of multi-point testing on a single device or multiple
point testing of an array of devices. Scanners can increase production line
throughput and fully characterize a device. Investigate some scanner
applications of the Guardian 6000 Safety Analyzer product family. [Full

Softpanels for Chroma's AC
Power Sources Are Now Available
Chroma Systems Solutions, a QuadTech Strategic
Partner, is pleased to announce the availability of new software panels for
Chroma's 6400, 6500, 61600 and 61500 AC Sources. These panels can run on any PC
and allows users to easily control the sources via graphical panels either
through RS232 or IEEE-488 (GPIB) interfaces. The softpanels provide users' with
an easy means of controlling the sources, reading back operating parameters and
also provides a convenient way to create complex power-line disturbance
waveforms for those models with this capability.
For Chroma's advanced AC sources the softpanels even
provide the means of graphically displaying data for IEC regulation and
compliance testing providing the ability to display and create harmonics,
inter-harmonics waveform synthesis, line variations and output impedance
changes to IEC standards. For more information please visit,http://www.ChromaATE.com.
